ECHO III: For Memory`s Sake is an artistic and cultural heritage project that aims to bring together artists from theatre, music, visual arts and literature to explore traditions and culture through the lens of themes related to marital practices in the Balkan context.
Six artists from Romania, Rep. Moldova, Greece/Poland, Bulgaria and Albania, participated in the audio-visual creative residency, organized in Bucharest, at Rezidența9.
The resident artists benefited from the guidance of Cristina Iliescu and Letitia Popa and masterclasses with professionals from the film industry, such as Dana Bunescu, Cătălina Tesar, Irina Trocan and Cristian Nunu.
The sequences of a personal diary that highlights the child-adult evolution join the viewer, powerlessness and self-doubt, in a journey marked by uncertainty, which ultimately leads to escape.
The video-poem oscillates between poetry and documentary, highlighting the struggle of a woman of to break free from oppression and find his voice and strength.

In this paper, I try to draw several elements around the idea of couple dynamics that are very present in various contemporary lifestyle productions, including film, advertisements, video games, music and even poetry. It depicts love, communication and various events, using humor as a tool of expression and reflection. My goal was also to capture the special feeling that Bucharest offers.
Furthermore, the female artists-in-residence met with the other artists from all the other residencies in the European ECHO III project (partner residencies took place in Sofia, Athens and Tirana with musicians, poets and actors). All these artists from the Balkans met for the first time in Bucharest, to create a show-case performance of the residencies: an outdoor exhibition, a concert, a theatrical performance, video-poem projection and poetry recital.
After the performance in Bucharest, the Caravan went on to Bulgaria, Greece and Albania, in the Wandering Arts Caravan, a 10-day tour through the four countries in this area
