About us

rhea is a platform for interdisciplinary artistic explorations, focused especially on performing arts and cinema. Our aim is to contribute to international artistic research and production.

We are an interdisciplinary group with a feminist intersectional approach. We are actresses, playwrights, theater and film directors, and screenwriters from Romania.

We want to support both experimental and mainstream artistic exploration. We hope that our artistic projects spark social dialogue and are relevant to contemporary society. Moreover, we want to explore subjects relevant to the female audience and to offer a working space especially to women artists and professionals with whom we share common values.

We believe that art should develop social imagination in order to create new and inclusive ways of organizing.
